To counter the Awami League's program, students and citizens gathered at Zero Point at night.

At Dhaka’s Gulistan Zero Point, students and citizens have gathered under the banner of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement.

Demanding the establishment of democratic rights, the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement announced a public gathering at the same location as a counter-program to the Awami League’s demonstration march scheduled for Sunday, November 10. The gathering began on Saturday night, November 9, around 11 PM.

Under the Anti-Discrimination Student banner, a group of people is protesting at Gulistan’s Zero Point, chanting slogans like “Why are murderers free, and Mughdha in the grave?” and “Noor Hossain calls for justice, down with murderer Sheikh Hasina.” They demand Sheikh Hasina be held accountable.

Earlier, the Awami League, ousted by a student-led public uprising, called on everyone to gather on Sunday at 3 PM at Noor Hossain Square in Zero Point, Gulistan, to restore democracy in Bangladesh.

As a counter, the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement announced a public gathering at the same location, demanding justice for the autocratic Awami League. They called for the gathering at Zero Point in Gulistan at 12 PM on Sunday.

Joint General Secretary of the Council of Public Rights, Md. Tarek Rahman, stated, “The Awami League intends to create a massacre. This party is a group of psychopaths. We are here to see how much poison is in their heads and tails. We will beat them from head to toe to drain their poison. The Awami League will not be able to conduct any programs until justice for the July uprising murders is served.”

The leaders and activists present stated that they would remain at Zero Point throughout the night to prevent any Awami League leaders or activists from entering the area.
