US and UK confirm mysterious drone sightings over three American air bases in Britain
The United States and Britain have confirmed unidentified drones were spotted flying over three US Air Force bases in the UK. The incidents occurred between Wednesday and Saturday (November 23) at RAF Lakenheath, Mildenhall, and Feltwell.
A US Air Forces in Europe spokesperson stated in a release that the drone incursions did not affect base residents or critical infrastructure.
A British Ministry of Defense spokesperson said, “We take these threats seriously and maintain robust measures at defense sites, including anti-drone security capabilities.”
Both countries have declined to provide further comment on the incidents. The three strategic bases are located within miles of each other in East England.
