“Chhatra League is now a banned organization, so they have no right to engage in political activities,” remarked Dr. Md. Maynul Islam, the Inspector General of Police (IGP).

The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Dr. Md. Maynul Islam, stated that since Chhatra League is a banned organization, it has no right to hold political gatherings. If they attempt such activities, strict legal actions will be taken against them, similar to other banned organizations. He made these comments during an event in Rangpur, marking the sixth anniversary of the Rangpur Metropolitan Police. The IGP emphasized that anyone causing instability during the student protests against discrimination will face legal consequences, and ongoing investigations will ensure accountability.
