On October 26, Israeli forces conducted a surprise attack on Iranian military installations. In response, Iran is reportedly preparing for a counter-attack on Israel. An advisor to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei disclosed this information on Sunday, November 24, according to reports from Iran International.
In an interview with Tasnim News, Ali Larijani stated that military officials in Iran are strategizing various approaches for an offensive against Israel.
Iran has been issuing threats of retaliation since last month following the Israeli strikes. On Sunday, the body of an Israeli citizen, identified as Rabbi, was discovered in the United Arab Emirates.
Israel has alleged that Iran was behind Rabbi’s death. In response, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a stern warning. Shortly after, Larijani revealed plans for an attack on Israel.
In the interview, Larijani also accused the United States of supporting Israeli activities in the Middle East, including operations against Iran. He remarked that Israel relies heavily on U.S. backing when planning strikes against Iran.
“They have chosen shadow warfare,” Larijani noted, questioning the motives behind Israel’s actions.
Additionally, Larijani called on the newly elected U.S. administration under President Donald Trump to reconsider its support for Israel and cease backing its actions.
