Russian President Vladimir Putin warned that Russia possesses more powerful and advanced weapons compared to Western countries. Speaking at the Collective Security Treaty Organization summit in Astana, Kazakhstan, he highlighted Russia’s missile production capacity as ten times higher than NATO countries combined, with projections to increase by 25-30% next year.
Putin claimed Russia’s short-range ballistic missile system Iskander matches three versions of US Army Tactical Missile Systems. He emphasized that Russia’s arsenal includes Kalibr cruise missiles, Kinzhal and Zircon hypersonic missiles, which he asserts have no global equivalent.
Regarding the Ukraine conflict, Putin stated that providing advanced weapons won’t change battlefield dynamics, and Russia is fully aware of the location and quantity of Western-supplied weapons. He promised to introduce new hypersonic systems in the military’s arsenal in the coming years.
